Planning 

Hakoah has engaged leading project management firm Savills to help plan and deliver the redevelopment. Architects, planners and communication professionals have also been engaged. With the Hakoah Board and sub-commiteees, these advisers make up the Project Team.

While the project is still in the concept phase, some initial features have been identified as important considerations in the new development. These include:

• A family-friendly environment
• Swimming pool complex
• Lawn Bowls greens
• Multi-purpose gymnasium
• Outdoor recreation facilities
• Function and meeting rooms
• Restaurants and bars
• Access to tennis courts through Maccabi Tennis Club
• Lounges and entertainment areas

The Project Team met with Woollahra Council as recently as 6 July 2011 to present the preliminary design concepts and operations of the Club and to discuss the mechanism for the approval process.

The Project Team assured Council that should the project be considered one of State Significance the Club would continue to liaise and consult with the Council in an open and ongoing basis.

Hakoah will ensure regular project updates are posted on the website as the redevelopment progresses.
